Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology in Human Resource Management (HRM), particularly in recruitment and talent acquisition. Organizations increasingly utilize AI-powered tools to automate candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview scheduling, skills assessment, predictive analytics, and employee selection, thereby improving recruitment efficiency and reducing hiring costs. AI technologies, including Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, chatbots, and predictive analytics, enable recruiters to identify suitable candidates, enhance decision-making, and provide personalized candidate experiences. This review examines the role of AI in modern recruitment and talent acquisition by analyzing AI technologies, recruitment applications, benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations. The study also explores issues related to algorithmic bias, data privacy, transparency, workforce diversity, and regulatory compliance. Furthermore, emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Explainable AI (XAI), and predictive workforce analytics are discussed as future directions for intelligent recruitment systems. The findings indicate that AI significantly improves recruitment speed, accuracy, and candidate engagement while creating new opportunities for strategic talent management. However, responsible AI governance and human oversight remain essential to ensure fairness, transparency, and ethical recruitment practices.
